These are the domed top stones with flat bottoms that are popular for jewelry making. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be made from most any material. Some times they are opaque, sometimes transparent, depending on the material.
Cabochons cut by Facet Shoppe will be identified as such; others are commercially cut.
O-503-OPAL: This is a cab cut by John. It is bullet shaped and has great pinfire on a light grey background. The stone appears to be full of glitter in golds and reds and blues. It is 15.2 X 9.8 mm and 3.04 cts. $90.00
O-414b-OPAL: This is a high domed cab cut by Barb. The flash on this one is a bit broader. The cut is oval. It does have a band of darker background material down the center. Lots of pink gold and green flash in this one. It is 3.5 X 1.5 mm and 4.78 cts. $142.50
LH-005-AMET: Amethyst- A nice medium purple oval African amethyst. It is 10x14mm and weighs 5.80 cts. $45.00.
LH-006-AMET: Amethyst- A nice little 8mm round medium purple cabochon. $15.00.
LH-004-KUNZ: Kunzite- This is a transparent pink 13x11 oval. This stone tends to fade in sunlight...it is one of the more unusual stones. This one has a minor inclusion but is a stunning stone. $100.00
LH-011-RHOD: Rhodochrosite- : This is a nice pink stone marbled with lighter pinks .We have five ovals...one 12x16 $30.00, one 10x14 $25.00, one 7x9 $20.00, one 6x8 $15.00 and one 4x6 for $7.00. Take the lot for $90.00.
LH-012-RHOD: Rhodochrosite- : These are another couple of nice pink stone marbled with lighter pinks .We have two rounded corner rectangles..19.5x15 mm. $52.50 each, or $90.00 for the pair.
