How To Order

Man-Made Stones

These are all man made materials. Some gems such as the emerald are lab grown materials, others are merely glass faceted. Have fun with this page. Though we prefer to cut real gems, we do from time to time cut CZ, lab grown corundum etc. As we cut them, they will be added to the page.

Unless otherwise noted all materials have been faceted here at the Facet Shoppe by John or Barb.

Cristinite: from Australia!

Cristinite is a fine gem material, with a 1.62 RI (about like that of topaz). The hardness is about like that of opal; best jewelry use is for pendants and earrings.
